Dial 1912 to access Sri Lanka Tourism  

Utilizing any telephone network in the country, tourists can dial 1912 and obtain all information related to local tourism and travel.

The facility was established by the IT Division of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, with the help of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka. The dedicated telephone line 1912 will function as a general number that will lead to any outsider to the various branches of Sri Lanka Tourism, or the Ministry of Tourism, as well as providing general travel information, information about services (i.e. licensing, investor relations, etc.), statistics, and emergency response in an unexpected disaster.

It can also connect tourists to the Tourism Police Division where outsiders could make complaints on harassments, service quality, etc., apart from obtaining their services. The 1912 hotline is accessible through any public, private, or cellular phone network, and helps transform tourism into a more communication technology-driven ultra-modern industry.
