National Holiday Resort, Katharagama[Wiki] The Resort is one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred shrines, and is a pilgrim center for diverse religious faiths. Many colorful festivals, rituals, and ceremonies such as peraheraa, traditional poojas, fire-walking, and expiatory penances are a feature here. The Rest House at Katharagama offers 43 double rooms with attached baths. In addition two large and two small halls accommodating thirty and fifteen persons in each hall respectively, are available, with common toilet facilities. Linen is provided to guests; extra linen is available from the restaurant.
